WELCOME TO TROOP 811!

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the Boy Scout Troop 811 Home Page. The mission of Troop 811, and that of the Boy Scouts of America, is to prepare young boys to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.We strive to turn the boys of today into the men and leaders of tomorrow. Our troop is completely boy- run, as are all of our events. All of our Youth Leaders are selected by their peers, and experience intensive training designed by the Boy Scouts of America. Numerous members of our Youth Leadership have also attended Leadership Training not only at the Troop Level, but also at the Council and National Level. Please have a look around. DUTY TO GOD
The Boy Scouts of America maintains that no member can grow into the best kind of citizen without recognizing an obligation to God and, therefore, recognizes the religious element in the training of the member, but it is absolutely

DUTY TO COUNTRY
It is important for scouts to participate in and serve their community and nation. Citizenship is key when building character. All citizenship activities are encouraged, but partisan political activities are prohibited and not endorsed in any way by the Boy Scouts of America.

DUTY TO SELF
A Boy Scout has the duty to keep himself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight. He should avoid anything that is harmful to his body, and should never do anything that is immoral, dishonest, or illegal.
